may be necessary to use different condition types for the same condition. The condition types can differ in access sequence, description, reference level in the pricing procedure or calculation type. In Customizing for Sales, you define a reference condition type for this condition type. In this case, you must define the condition records only once for the reference condition type.

Example:

Condition type MWST is defined as reference condition type for condition type MW15. So you must create the condition records only for condition type MWST and not for condition type MW15.

You can also use condition types in other applications as reference condition types. In this case, you must maintain not only the reference condition type but also the reference application in Customizing for Pricing.

There are two possible procedures for deleting conditions. There is either immediate deletion or a deletion flag for archiving at a later date. You enter the type of deletion that should be proposed during condition maintenance into Customizing for a condition type, . When deleting immediately, a dialog box can be created which indicates immediate deletion but offers a deletion flag as an alternative.

Deletion Flag

You can mark condition records for deletion. These are then no longer taken into consideration during automatic pricing. However they remain as condition records in the system until the next archiving update. This means you can reset a deletion and reactivate a condition record.

Physical Deletion

If you use physical deletion, the condition record disappears immediately. It is no longer available during condition record maintenance or pricing. This deletion cannot be reset once it has been carried out. You have to recreate the condition record if you need it again. To be more exact, the reference to the condition record for pricing and condition record maintenance is deleted completely with physical deletion. The actual condition record must be kept for old documents.

Recommendation:

SAP recommends the physical deletion procedure. The deletion flag improves upwards compatibility in the system.

A pricing error can occur when using hierarchical accesses in combination with the deletion indicator (See the hierarchical access documentation in the SAP library).

The deletion flag used to be used as a replacement for a missing release procedure. This is no longer necessary, as there is now a separate release procedure available (see the release procedure in the SAP library).

Physical deletion can be included using the change documents – for example deletions in a specific period (Report RV16ACHD).

Header Conditions

Automatic pricing does not take header conditions into account; you can not create condition records for them in the standard system. Header conditions are entered manually in order processing. R/3 includes the following header conditions:

Percent discount (HA00)

Absolute discount (HB00)

Freight (HD00)

Order value (HM00)

Item Conditions

In the standard system, most condition types are defined as item conditions. Examples of item conditions are:

Material discount (K004)

Customer/Material (K005)

Customer discount (K007)

Material price (PR01)

Header condition will not having An access sequence so you can't maintain condition record

Item condition having the An access sequence you can maintain condition record

Referece Condition is call as base condition on which we are calculating the other condition

2. We can not delte the condition record other wise user can create record invoice the document and delite the record which is..... But yes we can mark the deletion indicator which meens block the record from that date

3. hader condition will be aplicable for the Hole document but Item can be differ with each line item wise

Hi Rajesh,

1. Reference condition type - A condition type which can be used as a reference so that you only have to create condition records once for condition types that are very similar.

Example - Condition type MWSI only differs with condition type MWST in the

calculation type. For this reason an entry is made in field Reference Cond Type MWST for condition type MWSI . Now, condition records only need be created for condition type MWST and not additionally for MWSI.

2. For Deleting a condition record. Use T-code VK12 and enter the condition type for which you have to delete the condition record. Select the correct access sequence and then ENTER. Here you can see the condition record maintained. Select the Line and then press the icon Delete Row available at the Bottom of the screen.

3. There are some conditions which are used based on the Line item entered in the Sales order those are Item conditions for e.g: Basic excise duty is a Item Condition. The condition is then only valid for the particular item in which it is entered.

Also if you mark the condition record as Header Condition then it is possible to

enter the condition type in the header condition screen. Checks for changing the condition manually are unaffected by this.

Hi Rajesh,

Reference Conditions will be used to reference any other conditon type for records. For example you can use MWST as a reference condition type for any other tax condition .

For Deleting condition record there are two options available in SAP. One is you can mark the condition record as marked for deletion, you need to mark this at the condition type level (T.cod : V/06). Second option is you can permanently delete the condition record from the database.

Header and Item condition types : Header condition type will applies for all the items in the sales order, where as item condition type applies for the particular line item. You can define a condition type as Header or Item in the condition type (T.code : V/06). Generally all the Header condition types are manual. that means they will not have access sequence. we need to enter the value manually in the sales order.

The processing of header conditons also depends on the requirement. For example we have a Header discount type and would like to give the discount as Rs. 10. Now if you have 5 line items in the sales order. You can configure in such a way that this Rs.10 applicable to all the line items so that the total discount value is Rs. 50 or it will be distributed among the line items. i.e Rs.2 per each item.

1. Reference condition:

These are the conditions for which we can maintain the condition records and when these conditions are used as the reference to any othere conditions then no need to enter the condition records for the condtion type for which the reference condtion types is maintained

for example if we give the MWST as the reference condition type to the MW15 then there is no need to maintain the condition records to te condition type mw15

2.Deletion of the condition records

we can delete the condition record for the tparticular condtition type by the tco de vk13, there give the condtion type and enter then we can delete the condition record

3.Difference between teh header and item conditions

Header conditions are the condttions that are applicable to the whole sales order and they donot contain the access seqience

Item conditionsa re the conditions that are applicable to the individial item and they condatin the access sequence

and also for the header conditions we donto maintaint the conditions records and for the item conditios we will maintain the condition records

2. If you want delete the condition record, then you can set the deletion indicator for condition record. It will be considered as deleted.

3. Header conditions is Collection of all item conditions. and the item condition is for particular line item condition.

The value of the header condition applies to whole items in the sales order.

Header condition will not have any access sequence and therefore no Condition tables.

They have to be entered manually during sales order processing.

Only Freights and Discounts condition types can be entered at the header level. Ex.: HA00, HB00, HD00 etc.

If one sees an access sequence in the condition type, it is automatically an item condition type.

Item Condition:

The values of the item condition apply to a particular line item in the sales order.

Item condition will have access sequence and condition records as well as condition tables.

They can be entered both manually and automatically in the sales order.

Ex.: PR00, K004, K005 etc.

Usually Prices and taxes are maintained at item level, they cannot be maintained header level. Discounts can be maintained at both header as well as item level.

u can mark a condition record for deletion in vk12.select the condition record and click on the delete icon.

reg.. ref. conditions - if ever u want to create a condition record with out actuall y create a condition record then use the ref. condition.
