Upload data into bw7.0 from flat file to infocube

Hello All Experts,

I am new to BW 7 and i want to upload data from flat file to Infocube. I got the procedure from this forum and i tried but i did not get data into cube. I have a data in PSA and also a request in to the cube at Request tab.

can anyone help me with detaile procedure?

if u want to load data using datasource to infocube follow the steps.

1. create data source and select the option DTP allowed option while creating the Data source.

2. Create Transformations for the infocube and give the data source name.

3. Create DTP for the infocube. Activate the DTP.

4. Create Infopackage under Data source and load data. Data is loaded upto PSA.

5. Select the infocube DTP folder and select extraction button and start the load this will load data from PSA to infocube.

I did all the 4 steps same, but i did not understand 5th step. where is extraction button? Please help me with this topic. It is very important to me because my project is not moving forward without this. I will assign full points.

Did you do Data transfer process?

In the InfoCube > mange> at your request do you see any number of records in the Added Rec column.

If you have some records there try viewing the data from LISTCUBE .

yes i did DTP at Infocube

I do not have any records in the Added Records column. In that column value is 0.

Can you describe the steps you have done to load the data from flat file?

1.Create test cube with material name as a characteristic and material price as a key figure.

2.Create source system for flat file.

3.Create Data source.

4. Create Info Package for that Data Source and schedule it.

5. Right click on cube and create Transformation.

6. Right click on cube and create Data Transfer Process.
