What are the differences between ERP 2005 and ECC 6.0? Do any SD gurus out there know the answer.

There are no differences as it is the sam release.
mySAP ERP 2005 was recently renamed to SAP ERP 6.0 (see also http://service.sap.com/erp) and ECC is the abbreviation for ERP Central Component. ECC 6.0 is the central component for SAP ERP 6.0.
