Import Manager Automation

Hi all,

We all know that in Impot Manager we import a file (excel or xml etc) and choose a map (if we have already saved a map) to get the datas imported. But do we have an option to automate this process? if so please let me know.Any possibility for this in SP05?

Hi Arumugam,

MDM provides the Import Server as a tool for automatic import. It uses MDM's port concept (which reuses the maps you created for Import Manager). Using "MDIS" (this is the short form and a query through the different topics here in the forum will explain a lot ) you can automate your imports. Additionally the <a href="http://service.sap.com/installmdm">MDM Documentation Center</a> offers some more information.
