Problem in Connecting from QTP to eCATT.

Hi,

I am trying to connect from QTP to integrate with eCATT. Values have been set for the external tool parameters in the ECCUST_ET table. But i am getting the error "External Tool Still Needs to be maintained in Customizing Table ECCUST_ET".

I have entered the following in the ECCUST_ET Table.

Tool Name as QuickTest Professional

Program Id as MERCURY.ECATTAGENT

Tool Desc as QUICKTEST PROFESSIONAL

Tool Database as QUICKTEST DATABASE

Tool RunDB as QUICKTEST RUNTIME DATABASE

and Checked for Tool No PWD and Tool No DB.

Please help.

Hi,

You need to go to transaction se11.

Open table ECCUST_ET.

Press Ctrl-Maj-F10

Press Execute (F8)

Go to menu Table Entry/Create (you need granted user rights for this).

Enter a new row for QTP with following data:

TOOL_NAME           QUICKTESTPROFESSIONAL

PROG_ID                MERCURY.ECATTAGENT

TOOL_DESC           QuickTest Professional

TOOL_DATABASE QUICKTEST DATABASE

TOOL_RUN_DB      QUICKTEST RUNTIME DATABASE

TOOL_NEEDS_PWD

TOOL_HAS_DB

TOOL_NO_PWD                 X

TOOL_NO_DB                    X

TOOL_UPLOADS_LOG     X

ECTSAT_TRANSFER        X

TOOL_BPCA_TRACE        X

Hi,

Have you created 'ECATT_ET_USR' user from se38.

If not then go to se38 and then run the program ECATT_GENERATE_ET_USER. After this tro to connect eCATT from QTP.

If this doesn't solve ur problem then u see the note 638827.
