Is there any provision in SAP for downloading the list of material numbers based on the "Description".

SE16 can also be easily exported to txt or xls (in ALV view).

Try browsing table MAKT in transaction SE16. Material numbers and descriptions can be seen here.

Not to my knowledge.

The easiest way is maybe to create a query (in SQ01) on table MAKT.

There is no any std. report which extract material code based on desc.

do one thing Use T Code MM60.Download all Material codes with desc in spredsheet.

And simply put filter based on Desc. ( In excel...first put filter by going to <b>data</b>...then dopdown desc filter....select custom..contains...ur material Desc..)
