SAPCONNECT not confirming status of sent docs when upgraded to ECC 6.0

Hi,

Apologies if this is not the correct forum for this question but queries with SAPConnect seem to appear all over the place!

We have 4.6C and an external fax/emailing system connected using SAPConnect. Everything works fine with this.

We now have one system on ECC 6.0 (preparing for an upgrade in a couple of months) - when we connect ECC 6.0 client to the external system everything works OK (faxes and emails are sent) but no status is sent back to SAP.

Documents remain "IN TRANSIT" in SCOT and Status XS710 (Message sent to node Comserver) in SOST/SOSB.

The documents have definitely been sent so it appears as if only the status is not being fed back to SAP.

We connected the external system back to our 4.6C client and everything works fine.

Has anyone got any ideas of anywhere in ECC 6.0 that needs configuring to allow this to work ?

Regards

Hi,

In SCOT go to settings - > confirmation of receipt (ctrlshiftF7) and change the the ckeckbox to "SAPConnect expects ..."

Reagrds.

HI Pavel,

Thanks for your message - yes I have already checked this and it is set to "SAPConnect expects...."

But neither emails or faxes have their status confirmed.

Thanks

Hi,

1. try to change this option to "SAPConnect NOT expects...."

may be then SAP will confirm.

2.Did you checked the logs of the mail and fax server? do they send response?

Hi again,

Thanks for your response - I tried changing it to "Does not expect" and it made no difference - docs still remained In Transit in SCOT.

We had a consultant from the external document delivery system on our site last week (Esker) who confirmed to us that their server is definitely sending a confirmation.

We also connected the Esker server back to our 4.6 client and it worked fine then, so we can only think the problem is related to the ECC 6.0 upgrade.

The consultant has installed the system on ECC 6.0 SAP systems before without any problems so he couldn't really advise on what may be wrong.

Thanks

Helen

Hi,

Do you have any proxy server between the ECC and the SMTP server?
