Hi Experts,
Major advantage of XI and other middleware technologies is ..
XI is a single point of connection.
What does it mean exactly with others?

YRaj.
Aamir,
Could you pls more elaborate on multithreading concept of XI here.

YRaj.

Hey
it is possible to handle parallel messages in IE.but i guess you are looking for message processing in general.
see all the messages are processed in the order they arrived ,you have the option of prioritizing the messages in IE meaning you can give a higher priority to some important messages but this prioritizing is not possible at the adapter engine level,so adapter will pick the messages in the order they arrived, now when they enter IE and you have set the priority for them then they are processed based upon that,if no priority has been set they are processed in the order they were received
Thanx
Aamir
got it Aamir...
So, Single point of connection in the sense, IE is the junction for find the connections of Source and Target.
Am i Correct??

Thanks Aamir..
>>all the data comes to Integration engine and then from there it is send to the receiver system?
could you pls more elaborate on this ....and try to compare with point to point connection.
Also...if the data comes to IE at once then how XI is maintaining multithreading..

YRaj.

Hey
every message coming into XI gets a unique MessageID(MsgID),based upon this XI differentiates between different messages, the MsgID is never same for two different messages.

when u see the architecture of XI u will undersatnd that XI does'nt work like point to point connection , it work on single point of connection....
the data from sender & receiver is passed via Integration Server ....all the kind of scenario , A2A, B2B, it follow the same business flow vis single point of connection ....
for more details have a look at architecture of XI . u will understand well.
Thnaks!!

Hey
this means that in XI,all the data comes to Integration engine and then from there it is send to the receiver system.
meaning that the sender system is unknown about the receiving system.
all the sender systems send the data to IE and all the receiving system receive data from IE.
Thanx
Aamir
