hi ,

Tell me a scenario when will we use full repair request.

also what is a basis aggregrate.

also when will a transaction load fail . what r the possible scenarios .

i will assign points , plz guide me .

Hello sruthi,

When ever there is problem with data upload from source system to ODS then we will go for repair full request. This is applicable only for ODS. Search in SDN for more details.

The basis aggregate is the aggregate more or less same as infocube. almost all the dimensions that are defined in the infocube were includes in this aggregate.

There are lot of screnarios where there will be data load failures.

RFC connection failure.

DB failures.

SID failure.

Delta Failures. For more scenarios search in SDN.

Full repair request is a prerequisite to delta load

in case if init is with data transfer then u dont need full repair then u can schedule delta directly.

when ur DS is delta enabled then after doing repair full u can shedule the delta every day

aggregattes are used to improve query performance on cubes, if u create aggregats then the query wont hit the cube data but will hit the aggregate data which will be very specific to the query and very less number of records in the E table and hence inc in query performance

load failure can be by many reasns

logical error in the routine

incorrect records

error is source system
