Checking Indexes using SE11 and DB02

Hi,

I am working with ECC 5.0, Oracle 10.2

When looking at DB02, it showed couple of primary and secondary indexes are missing.

I tried checking in SE11. But I am not sure, which way is correct.

When I entered the table name in SE11 and clicked diplay, it showed Table field etc.

1)Then I clicked on "Indexes" button on top and it showed indexes.

2) Then, I tried with pull-down menu Utilities -> Database Objects -> Display.

This does not show any indexes.

which way is correct.? or is there better way to acertain?

Thanks,

Sam

Hi Sam,

SE11 and DB02 both way are correct...

In SE11 You will be able to all secondary indices.

Try to match it with DB02.

If some index will be missing then it ll show in DB02.

Sometimes you ll see missing index in DB02, but it will be present in SE11.

In that case go to SE11-> Indexes.

And display it.

Below status you will be able to see whether that index is created in database or not.

If it not created in database then create it by activating there.

Hello Sam ,

You can check the health of Table / Index using transaction DB02

And SE11 is can be use for maintenance of the Table / Index you can create or recreate the index using this Tcode.

Hope now everything is clear to you !
