I search the Forum , based on that I have done something , still I have some questions ,

Can any one help me to solve this…

I am using BW7.0's feature - Quantity Conversion (TCode: RSUOM).

1) In the BEx Tab page of

Characteristic 0MATERIAL, maintained the field "Base Unit of Measure" as 0BASE_UOM

2) In the BEx Tab page of

Characteristic 0MATERIAL, maintained the field "Unit of Measure for Char." by click on the New button, it will generate a DataStore Object, which will store information for calculating the conversion factor.

3) I have created Transformation from 0MAT_UNIT_ATTR to Generated DSO

4) The Mapping is

MATNR ---> 0MATERIAL. ( Material )

MEINH ---> 0UNIT ( Unit of Measure )

UMREZ --- >0UOMZ1D ( Counter )

UMREN ---> 0UOMN1D ( Denominator )

> 0BASE_UOM ( Base Unit of Measure )

Question 1 : -

Which field I have to assign to 0BASE_UOM ( Base Unit of Measure )

I have assigned MEINH to 0BASE_UOM is it Correct ???????

5) Fill in the DataStore generated with data, using the DataSource 0MAT_UNIT_ATTR Using Transfermation and DTP.

6) Data is Loaded Successfully.

Question 2:-

When I am activating the DSO request it is getting Read

I am trying to remove the SID flag in DSO Setting’s .. but it is not in Change mode.

How can I activate the request…

7) Create a Quantity Conversion Type through TCode RSUOM, the Conversion factor can choose 1,3 or 4, with reference to 0MATERIAL InfoObject.

Question 3:-

RSUOM -

In UoM Tab, what I have to do ….

means which radio button I have to select For source and Target Unit’s

Hi Shaik,

The conversion type is a combination of different parameters (conversion factors, source and target units of measure) that determine how the conversion is performed. In terms of functionality, quantity conversion is structured similarly to currency translation.

Quantity conversion allows you to convert key figures with units that have different units of measure in the source system into a uniform unit of measure in the BI system when you update them into InfoCubes.

1. Check whether you have defined Units for Key figures (e.g., Quantity, etc.,)

2. You can define your conversion types in RSUOM as you do for currency conversion.

e.g., define your Source & Target Units based on your business requirement.

3. Numerator / Denominator – normally this is maintained in R/3 itself. These are conversion factors. (e.g., 10 TABS = 1 Unit)

4. You said that you have assigned MEINH to 0BASE_UOM. Yes it is correct. Also define your units to respective key figures.

Hope it helps,

Cheers

The data is loaded in DSO successfully but not activating ….

Thanks..

Hi Shaik,

I believe DSO is not required, you can perform conversion settings in RSUOM itself.

For Question 2:

Check these steps:

1. Check the Table Space

2. Delete any data previously loaded into the PSA

3. Check that you are loading from the PSA into the DSO, and it's not just in the PSA.

Also, go thro. this link provided by Chetan,

Moreover, provide us your exact requirement, to assist you better.

Update once you have done with these activities,

Cheers,

Rafi

Yes, the Chetan link is very useful now DSO request is Activated.

I have created the Quantity Conversion Type ( ZUOM ), Then in Query Designer

Quantity Key Figure Properties ( Eg: 0QUANT_B ) --- > In Unit Conversion I have selected Conversion Type ZUOM and Target Unit Carton .

When I execute the Query , it is not Converting the Units.

I am Trying to Convery all the units in to CAR ( Cartons )

Eg : 10 Kg = 1CAR

Where I am missing ? what are the Radio Buttons I have to select in RSUOM

Thanks

Hi Shaik,

In RSUOM, under Tab: UOM -> select Radio Button - Unit of measure from data record.

and Under Target Unit of Measure -> Select Fixed Unit of Measure = CAR.

Assuming all your units coming from R/3 is KG, and you want them to convert it to CAR.

Update, once itz done...

Dear ,

When I am executing the report , it is not converting …

I check the DSO Data , the Counter and Denominator data is Matching with R/3 ( ECC6 )

Eg:-

Material No : 2000 have Conversion Types

1 KG = 1 KG.

1000 CAR = 18,641 KG.

100 IPR = 10,066 KG.

Material No : 3000 have Conversion Types

1 KG = 1 KG.

1000 CAR = 25,470 KG.

100 IPR = 13754 KG.

My user wants to see in report all Qty in CAR.

Sometime he want to see all in KG.

But it is not converting in Query Runtime…

Need More Help to resolve this,

Thanks,

SHAIK
