Hi,
I just installed an IDES on Windows 2003 SP2, MS SQL server 2005 on a box with 2.8G CUP and 2G mem. The installation is successful and I can start/stop SAP instance. I failed logging on with account <sid>adm with the password i set during installation. I tried on client 000, 001, 066. None of them work. I see a a shortdump saying password log on is not possible - too many failed... in SAP Management Console on win2k3 box.
I tried SAP*/pass after I saw the shortdump. Not work either.
As this is my first attempt of log on. I wonder if there are other super user accounts I can use.
As I can't log on to the instance, the system is dead to me.
If I can't log on the instance from SAP GUI, is there a way for me to revive it from SAP Management Console?
Many thanks
adm is the OPERATING SYSTEM user, you can´t login to the SAP instance with that user.
Check the official IDES installation documentation, you will find there the user to login in client 800.
