Can some one tell what does the splitting mean in S_ALR_87013628 - Cost Centers: Splitting report? What does this report tell?

Hi Ram

During cost center splitting - cost center costs are split between activities performed in that activity.

you can split total cost center costs between labor and machine activities

For this you need to do activity dependent planning

Step 1

Do activity dependent cost planning - KP06 - for this u must have defined your plan layouts in cost center planning

Step 2

Proceed as follows in configuration

Path is - Cost Center Accounting > Planning > Allocations > Activity Allocation > Splitting > Define splitting structure

1) Define splitting structure - in this create splitting structure and define splitting rules and assign splitting rules to splitting structures - Tcode OKES

2) In splitting rules decide on splitting method. Various methods are available

3) After defining splitting structures assign them to cost center - T code OKEW

The report splits cost center costs between activities performed in the cost center

This is done only if you have defined cost splitting structure.
