Alerts - 2 alerts for one error

I am trying to configure alert rules in the runtime work bench. I have selected the "No Restriction" option in the section "Where did the error occur". I am able to get alerts in the Alert Inbox but,

SXMS_FROM_SERVICE is not getting populated in the configured long text in ALRTCATDEF of this Alert category. Also, I am getting 2 mails for each error (Adapter Engine error), where one of the mails only has the Error Text from the Adapter Engine.

Did any one face this kind of problem, where the container variables are not getting substituted at runtime and 2 mails getting triggered for a single adapter engine error?

hey

please check in SLG1,it will show you how many alerts have been triggered,i m kinda positive that you have some other interface (may be faulty interface) which is generating this second alert.

also u may try checking the "Suppress multiple alerts option" in alert configuration
