Dear PP masters
Pl, explain about backflushing and what movement types r associated with it
thanks
Dear Mr.Rajsingh,
Backflushing is generally used in REM - Repetitive Manufacturing.
While doing the Assembly backflush in MFBF ,as per in the REM profile if allowed
GI backflush at GR posting, then 261 & 131 movement happens at the same time.
In the same REM profile if allowed Reprocessing - (create Cumulated Post
Processing records),then only 131 movement is carried out & the errors are further
cleared using MF47 list.
If useful reward points.

Mangal

Hi Raj,
Pl.refer my post it is for discrete scenario.
Backflush indicator can be set in 1.)mat. master,2.)work center or 3.) routing.
When you confirm the order for the material with backflush maintained as per option 1, then the dependent material is backflushed. ie. reduced from stock.(co15)
If you use option 2., when you confirm the operation in that particular work center, backflush is carried out.(co11n)
If you use option 3, when you confirm the operation where backflush indicator is set, backflush will be carried out.(co11n)

SDS
Dear Raj, Let me add something to Managal's reply. This Backflushing takes place in PPPI environment too. It is basically an auto posting applicable to consumption items and even finished products with different movement types..

Hi,
To produce a material Halb/Fert we consume raw material. Suppose we use 100 nos of ROH to produce 100 nos of Halb then we can set a backflush indicator.
When we confirm the production order for Halb then the system will automatically backflush (ie reduce the consumed qty of ROH).
This backflush indicator can be set in the material master, workcenter basic data tab page & in routing in the component allocation tab page.
Also you can set this for one particular production order in the componen (item) detail tab page.
When we use backflush, we need not do the mb1a 261 movement.
Commonly used in Repetitive manufacturing scenarios.

SDS

Hi
Backflushing is automatically issue of materials against production orders.
This can be activated in Mat master, work center or routing or in production order.
When you do the confirmation of the order the materials will be issued and 261 movement will take place for the materials.
Backflush is used to issue when a order contains lot of materials and to avoid manual posting in MB1A
