Hello Experts,

We have a problem with a flat file, our problem is zinfoobject with text. We have a excel file, with numbers and text. We can load the file without text so everything is fine when we load the file with this column empty.

We have already check the length and type of zinfoobject.

Kind regards.

Alberto.

Hi Alberto,

What is the file format? CSV or ASCII. If the file format is CSV, make sure ; used as separator. For eg:

001;emp1

002;emp2

Hello Mitu Saha,

Many thank, My file is CSV but I tried to put the separator and It doesn’t work. The main problem is how to load text. Have you load any file with text? It is my first time and I found a lot of problems.

Bye.

Loading text is similar to master data attribute load. In infoobject you have to mark text only.

The text file should look like following:

EN CUST001 Reliable Transportation Company Reliable Transportation C

EN CUST002 Finance One Corp Finance One Corp

EN CUST003 Cool Book Publishers Cool Book Publishers

EN CUST004 However Forever Energy, Inc. However Forever Energy, In

EN CUST005 Easy Computing Company Easy Computing Company

EN CUST006 United Suppliers, Inc. United Suppliers, Inc.

The EN used for language. In your output language column it will show EN.

What is your setting in infopackage external data tab?

make sure data separator ;

escape character "

If is there any header in your text file metion the no of headers to the

no of headers to be ignored

Hope it will help you

Alberto,

But you must be loading separately to a text data source and thru text infopackage right!

What error is it exactly giving?
