Vendor survey process

Former Member

Hello,

I have two questions.

1: What steps do I need to take to be able to fill in a questionnaire at the moment a receipt confirmation is entered in SRM (5.0).

2: We would like to send surveys to suppliers. My understanding of the process is that this needs to be done via transaction BBP_EVAL_SURVEY. The supplier than receives an E-mail with a link where he can fill in the survey. When he fills the survey, what happens with the data? Is it (or can it be) moved to Business Warehouse or is it stored elsewhere?

Hi,

1- Implement the following configuration point :

Integration with other mySAP.com Components ->

Data Transfer into SAP Business Information Warehouse ->

Settings for Application-Specific DataSources (SRM) -> Define Events for Vendor Evaluation in SRM

Kind regards,

Yann

Hi Ed,

1. configure the events and the related questionnaire in Spro

2. the evaluation process is an internal process and not connected to vendors.

In order to evaluate vendors, you can use trx survey and send / receive

questionnaires from there. The data can be collected via direct update into SRM

or via questionnaire sent back. In both cases the data is stored in SRM server.

For evaluation the data can be extracted to BW and reported on.

Hi Claudia,

I set an event for confirmation and connected default questionnaire. However when I do a confirmation nothing happens. Any idea what I am missing? At what moment should the survey pop up?

My second question was not about vendor evaluation, but about sending questionnaires to suppliers regarding their products on a regular basis. When suppliers fill in that data online, where is the data stored?

Hi Ed,

when the connfig is correct, the pencil symbole in confirmation should be active.

Depending on your settings you can manually click on the pencil and open the

questionnaire or it is supposed to automatically (when you defined it like this.)

Put a * into Vendor, POrg, Product Cat and "always when save" that everytime a questionnaire

should be filled. Set to "individual" to quickly see, if the questionnaire comes up.

For the second one, I am also talking about sending questionnaires to vendors.

The concept is the same - technically the Web Survey is the baseline for all

questionnaire driven processes. Every filled questionnaire is stored in the SRM

Server using several tables. There is not just one table containing the

questionnaires. These different tables can be extracted via standard BW extractors

into BW and can be reported on.

Claudia

Hi,

Replying to your 2nd question - if your questionnaire is sent out from the SRM server, the data will be kept in the SRM database. From SRM40, it is also possible to send out questionnaire from the BI server. As such the data is kept in the BI database.

Hence depending on which method you have selected, the extraction can be pull from a SRM server or locally within the BI server.

Hi again,

I do not see a pencil, but now I get a logon screen to SRM server. I assume this is for accessing the survey. However, after logon I get a Business Server Page (BSP) error, with the following text:

SAP Note

The following error text was processed in the system:

Die URL enthält keine vollständige Domainangabe (sapdsr statt sapdsr.).

Any idea where I can correct this?

Hi Ed,

go to SICF and check whether the BSP services bbp_ve_service, uws_form_servic

are is active

Are you able to directly call the questionnaire using the link with your info?:

https://yourserverinfo/sap/bc/bsp/sap/uws_form_service/page1.htm?uws_application=SRM_VENDOR_EVALUATI... id)&sap-client=xxx&saplanguage=DE

Claudia,

Both services are active. I now use this url, but it gives a syntax error.

https://sapdsr.iff.com:80000/sap/bc/bsp/sap/uws_form_service/page1.htm?uws_application=SRM_VENDOR_EV....

Is there an error?

Hi Ed,

did you check TWPURLSVR for entries in the fields BSP Server and BSP protokol?

In the URL there is one zero too much: 8000.

Please check as well, if the service uws_form_service has an "e" at the end

or not; it depends on your SRM relrease and adjust the URL when needed.

Claudia,

Sorry, I missed this response. Those fields are empty. What should be in them?

Ed

just enter the same information which is there for the entry Web Server

and the related Web protocol. Some thing like sapdsr.iff.com:8000 and HTTP

Hi,

I still have some doubts regarding the process of surveys (and supplier self registration). Do I understand correctly that suppliers receive an E-mail with a link to the survey? Do suppliers need an SRM user id to access this survey? If we design our own questionnaires, I assume we also need to define our own datatables where the data is stored? Am I right?

Hi Ed,

when you use the supplier registration process, suppliers register a central

website with basic data. Based on the selected product categories, the supplier

receives an email with one or more questionnaires. Depending on config the

questionnaires are attached in the email or a link is provided to direct update. The

access is provided via the link and anonymous login. Suppliers do not need a user.

In case of using the survey cockpit, a company user (e.g. buyer) sends out a

questionnaire from the survey cockpit to a defined user group. These users, can

be internal as well external, receive a questionaire as attachment or a link to the

questionnaire. Some story as above.

You can define your own questionnaires quite easily. Just start by creating one

based on an existing and save it with a new name. Design it in the way you want

it. That's it. The tables SAP used are the same like for the standard questionnaires

You do not have to take care of tables.

Claudia

I am still struggling getting this to work. When I execute the URL below, I get error message : 404 The requested resource does not exist.

http://sapdsr.iff.com:8000/bc/bsp/sap/uws_form_servic/page1.htm?uws_application=SRM_VENDOR_EVALUATIO....

Does someone have an idea what the problem can be?

Thanks,

Ed
