Bid invitation

we have a requirement where bid invitations should be generated automatically after consolidating the requirements (may be thru a background job) from the shopping carts created in the last 7 days. Is there any report for this? However the buyer will choose which invitations are to be sent to the vendors.

Hi,

This is a standard process... You need to configure the sourcing determination for your product category setting it to 5, 6 or 7 (depending on your requirment). of course you can also use BADI to achieve it.

The report BBP_SC_TRANSFER_GROUPED will be able to help you group the SC requirment together creating the bid invtation document.

Please check first the configuration point "Define Sourcing for Product Categories" conbined with badi BBP_SRC_DETERMINE.

Hi,

To be more precise, in the configuration point check the following option :

"Automatic grouping and creation of a bid invitation in the case of items without assigned source of supply

If a source of supply is not assigned, the report Automatic Grouping of Requirements for POs and Bid Invitations automatically attempts to create a bid invitation from several requirement items. If is unable to do so, this is recorded in the error log of the report.

I dont think there is any standard report for this.This needs a custom development.
