I would like to allocate individual queues in SMQR to a specific server group (not logon group).
The goal is that I want to control how many workprocess are allocated to different queues.
eg 80% of workprocesses to RFC Server group PRIORITY1 (RZ12)
20% to RFC server group REST
Each queue is then allocated to one or other the 2 server groups.
SMQR seems to only have single rfc server group for the entire scheduler process.
Did I miss something here ?
Any ideas on how to control queues so that message processing and the available workprocesses to a queue is controlled.
Yes I have read
This is a very rough round about way to control workprocesses.
It also doesnt seem to offer the option to give absolute priority to certain message types. ie.
Always process message of type X first.
regardless of how many entries are in queue.
How do you achieve strict prioritization.

Phil.

Max size isnt a direct solution.
so no absolute queue control then.
Only queue influence.
The documents seem to confirm no direct control is possible. Just scheduler guidance.
