Setting Country Currency

Former Member

Hi,

I have created a new country under

SPRO -> SapNetWeaver -> General Settings -> Set Countries -> Define Countries in mySAP System

There are two currency fields which can be set:

- Index-Based Currency (T005-CURIN)

- Hard Currency (T005-CURHA)

Now, I need to set the country currency (T005-WAERS) which is now blank.

Can I know how can I set this field ?

Thanks.

Hi Prashanth Goud,

Can I know how did you find out about this ?

How can I find out that T005-WAERS need to be updated

at table T500W?

I would like to know just in case I meet the same problem next time .

Thanks and I will award the points.

Hi Prasanth,

I understand that T500W is the table for which the country currencies is stored.

However, if I don't know about this table, how can I find out which table needs to be maintained ?

I am using a currency (USD) which is already present in the currency table.

The problem now is how do i link this currency to the newly created country i.e. T005-WAERS is populated with USD. T005-WAERS is currently blank.

Hi,

Setting Country Currency,

The currency table must have entries for all currencies which occur in your business transactions.

Standard settings

In the SAP standard recipient system, all currencies are defined according to the international ISO standard.

SAP recommendation

SAP recommends that you use the ISO standard for your additional entries.

If your entries do not correspond to the ISO standard, you will not be able to use data exchange in international communication (e.g. bank clearing transactions).

Actions

1. Check the currency entries for completeness.

2. Add the missing currency entries as required.

3. Use the ISO standard for your additional entries.

Regards,

Sarosh
