Hi,
Let say i have a scenario that an agent log in to the portal and download an offline interactive form, meet up with his client and fill up the data in the form. Back to the office he will email the attached offline interactive form to a mail server. This server suppose to detect the form and extract the data from the form and update the data into the backend system.
The question is how this mail server work in oder to detect and extract the data out? What kind of technology is used over here? Any material / resource?
Best Regards,

Hi
You can trigger a workflow when a mail is received in SAP to a preconfigured mail id.

Hi Rayden,
I had a similar requirement discussion previously.
What i meant was -
The workflow refers to the basic R/3 workflow. There is an option to trigger an event when a new mail comes to a specific (preconfigured mail id).
You may discussthis with the workflow guys on this possibility. or check this thread once i get some time>.
- anto.

Hy Raiden,
Do you solved it ?
I made it on my ECC 6.0 system and that works fine.
Please have a look to this link <a href="/people/thomas.jung3/blog/2004/09/09/receiving-e-mail-and-processing-it-with-abap--version-610-and-higher Inbound Mail</a>, it will explain you how to configure your SAP System to be able to process inbound mail .
After , look at this webinar it will explain you how to do to process your forms <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/library/events/webinars/sending%20and%20receiving%20email%20with%20attached%20interactive%20forms%20in%20abap%20-%20webinar%20details/sending%20and%20receiving%20email%20with%20attached%">Process Inbound Mail with Interactive PDF Forms</a>.
