JCO Connection error

I have 2 problems with the JCO connection pool.

I have 2 JCO connections in created from the Web Dynpro content administrator.

The names are

BTR2_JCoConnPool2_SNC

BTR_JCoConnPool2_SNC

Problem 1:

When the server is restarted, the connection pool is not present, hence when I try to get a client it fails. The workaround is to click on "Test" in the content admin and then the connection pool works.

Question: Is this the way it is meant to work? What is a better solution

Problem 2:

Although the name above is

BTR2_JCoConnPool_SNC

The name that I need to use/can see when inside the application is:

BTR2_JCoConnPool_SNC_<userId used to connect>_EN_useDefinedUser

Which i find very strange.

Perhaps my understanding of the JCO connection pool is not clear so someone please help.

Hi Manik

That is not how it is supposed to work, you should be able to get connections irrespective of if you do a "Test"

BTR2_JCoConnPool_SNC_<userId used to connect>_EN_useDefinedUser is the valid name because ideally you should be using SSO in which case there will be pool for indiviudal users , hence user dependant pool names

Are u using this in webdynpro
