Hi Experts,
On our development server drive one of the file UNDO.DATA1 occupied more than 10 GB disk space, the path for the file is \oracle\ECD\sapdata1\undo_1\UNDO.DATA1.
Can anybody explain me what is the use of this file & if I delete the file then it cause any inconsistency or not.
Regards,
Rajesh
Hello Rajesh,
Do not play with UNDO.DATA1 coz it can cause inconsistency in your system
it is just like undo segment in oracle... do a google search for more about undo segment.

Jafer

Hi Rajesh,
As Rushit said... DON'T delete the file
Deleting the file will definately cause the database to stop working

hello Rajesh,
This file is used for roll back purposes. In case an update fails and no commit is done then SAP uses this file for roll back purposes. Dont delete this file. Please try to increase diskspace.
