TCP/IP RFC Destination with activation type Registered Server Program

Former Member

Hi experts,

We are trying to configure CRM Webclient with CRM 4.0 server. In the post installation step, We have configured a TCP IP RFC destination for the IC Server with activation type Registered Server Program with program ID as <node number of SAP J2EE Server>@hostname.

When we try to test the connection, we get program <node number of SAP J2EE Server>@hostname not registered.

Can someone please help us in resolving this problem?

thanks in advance.

Sam

Dear Samuel,

Have you filled in the right gateway?

Normally you would have a gateway service running on the same machine as where your registered program is running. In this case this is the gateway that you should fill in SM59.

Kind regards,

Hi Alexander,

Thanks for your reply. I have configured the right gateway. Still it was not working. But when I restarted the server, it started working.

But I am not sure why was not working earlier.

cheers

Hi Samuel,

I faced the same problem with IPC and what I learnt by studying the log file is that IPC tries to connect to CRM server and extract the gateway information from the RFC destination before registering the program id. It could be same in your case.

Cheers,
