Update terminated error

Can anybody tell that the following error means, is basis related or funtional related error....

Generated.... 16.08.2007, 13:53:12

Completed.... 16.08.2007, 13:53:15

Error Info... 00 671: ABAP/4 processor: SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC

it looks like application related error,

look in SAP notes 960906, 860745, 920468, 862823 etc.

If you have older system state you have to apply latest SAP support packages (SAPK*).

Thanks for your reply.

We are using ECC 6.0. Some times this error doesnot come, when make some changes in the Number ranges. after one or two entries this problem again starts.

when went to transaction code sm13 to check the error it V1 error in

<b>7 RV_INVOICE_POST V1 (no retry) Error</b>

This does not look like it's Basis problem.

an SAP program is trying to create new records, but there is already a record exiting with the same key.

This is usually a functional issue.

if you change number ranges, make sure you do not use a range that was already used in the past.
