By using SSO to login to the portal I receive the SAP Logon Ticket in form of a Cookie. If I'm right this should be a standard InternetExplorer Cookie and be stored under c:\documents and settings\username\cookies.
Is this true? What if not?

Patrik
Hi Patrick,
that's right. The portal create a standard browser cookie with the name MYSAPSSO2 for you and the browser stores this in an appropriate place. For Internet Explorer I found one under C:\Documents and Settings\<your-profile-name>\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files with name "Cookie:<user>@<web-side>"

Good question. Is your portal login working?
Maybe you have your browser configured to not accept cookies or accept them only temporarily so that they are deleted if you close the browser?
To see if the portal sends a logon ticket I recommend to use a HTTP request inpector tool like "HTTP Watch" or "Tamper Data". Those tools allows you to inspect every request and to see which cookies are send and received.

You won't find a MYSAPSSO2 cookie as persistant file.
It's a session cookie hold in the browsers memory.
