Dear Gurus
To start a project we convert AS IS to TO BE process.
My question is in which format does the AS IS will be or with the information we get from the client we have to prepare that.
Thanks In Advance
Sneha Reddy
hi
for most of the instances the AS IS is prepared in a standard format out of Visio, MS-Project, etc, in doc format. it is mostly the study of the existing system where in whole of the business processess are clearly explained both in text and pictorial format. this is the most important document as we tend to know the exact business process of clients existing system.
this is also important in the later document preparation for GAP Analysis as based on the facts in the AS IS doc the GAPS can be easily analyzed..

Hi Sneha,
There is no format as such for AS-IS and it can be done in the form of Microsoft VIZIO, so that you can explain the process and flow of the process cleraly and should always get a sign off from the customer. Or else you can design the template for the type of industry you are working with.
Later on you can do the business process mapping i the TO Be Process, so as to explain clearly the business process steps and the way they are going to be covered in SAP.
For Example :- If an Invoice is created ad Accounting Doc. is created automatically i SAP. This needs tio be highlighted, so that user should not get confused when, how and who will be taking care of the accounting Part.
