I am getting this message when am trying to make material Postings in MB1C

Message no. M7097</b>

Diagnosis

The material belongs to a material type whose stocks are not managed on a quantity basis.

Procedure

Enter a different material or terminate processing.

If required, check the setting of the material type for the plant in the Customizing system of the material master data.

Hi Ravi,

Use transaction code OMS2, select your material type, click on 'Quantity/Value Updating. Here for your plant click in the windows of quantity updating & value updating. Save it. Your problem will be solved.

Select u r material type AND Plant activate the quantity and value updating

Use [OMS2], select your valuation area (plant), material type and check the quantity and value boxes.
