Hi
I had a quick question on EDLNOT message type of IDOC. Please let me know the answer when you get a chance.
We use consignment order process in the Auto industry
here document flow here is as follows:
Scheduling agreement LK =>
Delivery into Consignment storage location =>
ED-Order (pick up from the consignment storage location) =>
Delivery to the customer.
We use inbound EDLNOT (DESADV01) . The inbound The EDLNOT has to create the ED-Consignment Order.
Function Module - IDOC_INPUT_EDLNOT_START
Inbound Prcoessing code - EDLN
The problem -> IDOC segment has the necessary data but it is not able to find the Document type "ED" during the creation.
This results in the IDOC to fail. Does system atuomatically determines "ED" document type? or should it be passed in the IDOC? How do I solve this?

Hi,
In Consignment Process; we have EDLNOT type IDOC's.
In the inbound EDLNOT IDOC's you need to pass the following information;
1. LF partner number
2. WE partner details
3. Customer Material Info Record or the KDMAT field.
Based on the above system will automatically run a query in M_VLPMA view and determine the Scheduling Agreement. Based on this and OVD0 transaction settings, for a Sold to party you need to maintain ED document type. System will create ED document and save.
Hope this answers your question..
Regards,
Syed Nasir
