CRM Business Package 5.0 Deployement Error

Hi All,

I downloaded CRM business package 5.0 contains to SCA files first one i deployed success fully but the second i am getting following error.

Aug 15, 2007 1:21:23 AM Error: Target system of development component 'com.sap.pct.crm.dam.container.etc'/'sap.com'/'SAP AG'/'5.0.0.20060531153502.0000'/'0' reported the following error:

com.sap.sdm.apiint.serverext.servertype.deployment.DeploymentActionException: The substitution of deployment parameter variables failed.

The following variables could not be substituted because they

are not known by the SDM-Repository:

com.sap.cm.share

To fix this problem go to the SDM-Repository-View of the SDM GUI

and define substitution values for these variables or correct the

type information.

How to rectify this error?

Phani,

Before deploying the com.sap.pct.crm.dam.container.notification.sda file, you have to set a variable com.sap.cm.share in the SDM.

When you login into SDM, select tab SDM repository and if the variable is not there, add it and set its value to the path of etc directory on your portal installation.

For eg:

Name:com.sap.cm.share

Display Name:com.sap.cm.share

Value:D:\usr\sap\J2E\SYS\global\config\cm\etc

Now try deploying.
