hi all,
what r the configurations 2 b done at R/3 side and XI side while doing IDOC 2 FILE scenario?
regards,
keerthi
Hi Keerthi,
Maintain the Sender R/3 System
Create a RFC Destination to XI using the Tcode SM59
Create a TRFC Port and specify RFC Destination created above using the TCode WE21
Create the partner profile for Inbound and Outbound Parameters using WE20
Maintain the Receiver XI System
Create the RFC Destination for sender system using SM59
Create the port to get IDOC Metadata from Sender System using the Tcode IDX1. Here the Port name we are given and port name in the IDOC header will be identical.
Maintain the IDOC Metadata using the Tcode IDX2.
Cheers...
Vasu

Hi Keerthi
To send an IDOC from R/3 to XI.
1. Check the Bsystem of R/3 in SLD and note down the LS name of R/3.
On XI.
1.Create the RFC destination on the Xi pointing to R/3 (Name = LSname) (SM59: type R/3)
2.Create Port in XI (Port name should be SAPXXX "XXX is the SID of R/3) and select the RFC destinatino created earlier.
3. Check IDX2, Either you can maually upload the Metada of the IDOC which you are trying to send to XI.
On R/3:
Check the LS name oF XI and define the LS name of XI in R/3 Suing the sale TC.
1. Create an RFC Dest pointing to XI (Type R/3) SM59 TC
2. Create trfc port select the RFC destination created.
3. Configure your IDOC in BD64 to send it, cross check the partner profiles.
