SRM 5.0 (SRM Server 5.5), R/3 Enterprise & R/3 Plug In

Hi

We have R/3 Back-end 4.7 SP 28, We are upgrading SRM 4.0 (SRM Server 5.0) to SRM 5.0 (SRM Server 5.5). On the SRM 5.0 master guide it read "PI 2004_1 or higher if one is available". On SAP Service MarketPlace is reads "PI 2004.1 in the final R/3 Plug-In delivered separately".

Any idea how to proceed? After the BASIS fellows handed back the upgrade WedAS it has

PI_BASIS 2005_1_700 0011 SAPKIPYJ7B

ST-PI 2005_1_700 0002 SAPKITLQI2

While R/3 back-end

PI 2004_1_470 0009 SAPKIPZI59

PI_BASIS 2005_1_620 0011 SAPKIPYJ5B

ST-PI 2005_1_620 0005 SAPKITLQG5

Are these by any chance compatible?

Nathi

First problem we are experiencing is with account info descriptions. See below for further detail

BAPI “BBP_ACC_OBJECTS_DESCRIPTION” is not working due to data structure being inconsistent.

Reason:

Structure/field in EBU: BBPS_ACC_DESCRIPTION-ACC_OBJ_VALUE has 24 characters

Structure/field in RD1: BBP_ACC_DESCRIPTION-ACC_OBJ_VALUE has 12 characters

This leads to data being displaced by 12 characters during transformation between EBU to R/3 structure.

Hi,

Our working system is as below.

SRM

PI_BASIS 2005_1_700 SAPKIPYJ7A

ST-PI 2005_1_700 SAPKITLQI3

R3

PI 2004_1_470 SAPKIPZI5A

PI_BASIS 2005_1_620 SAPKIPYJ5B

ST-PI 003C_620

( I don't think ST-PI is necc for anything other than the go-live check, but stand to be corrected).

In summary I think you will be fine.

Cheers

Rob
