double byte character in Xi

Hi Experts ,

Am searching for document for double byte character in Xi.

1. Double byte data type as a input to Xi..

2. want to know whether Double byte data type is a string or constant

3. and its structure too

4. And what r the conditions to use that…

Please help me regarding this.....

XI works with UTF-8 internally. You need not distinguish between 1,2 or 4-byte characters, that is automatically done inside the XI.

Use "String" for any character data type.
