Hello Gurus,

Why we are implementing these support packs in SPAM /

SAINT

1. ST-PI

ST-PI is the plug for the "Solution Tools", that plugin has the basis functionality for Solution Manager and Central Monitoring. As of NW 7.0 it´s part of the Basis.

2. PI_Basis

This is the BASIS plugin for all interface definitions that are needed for "external" systems such as BI/BW, CRM, SRM etc.

3. PI

This is the interface plugin itself.

Can anybody give me the answers what type changes are

made when we implementing these support pack via

T-Code SPAM / SAINT .

No actual type changes should be made, those plugins are standard plugins and are in a separate namespace.

Just to add...

In some/most? cases you should run report RTCCTOOL and perform any procedures after addon implementation of ST-PI or ST-A/PI. Your EWA will usually inform you of the need to upgrade your service preparation tools.
