Will Exporting role to QAS Affect users

i have a Developement system and a QAS system.

The development and QAS system has the same role called Z_BWDeveloper.

I have added new authorisations and Transactions to the role in Development system.

After this if i export the role in a TR to the QAS System, will this affect the users.

Will the users be removed from the Role in QAS or not

Hello Balaji,

if this is through transports then at time of transport creation it will ask you for the option : Transport users also. Dont choose this option.

In case you have central user administration user assignment will not get transported anyways. Also same happens with download/upload and import thru RFC call.

So you mean to say that if i transprot the role from one system to another system ( in which the role is already there). it will not affect the users in the role.

The user will be still assigned to the role

Yes as long as you do not select the option transport users in an non central user adminsitration environment.

Hi ruchit ,

Wants to know that changes have been done and transported to QAS here. Now if the role is already assigned to the users with this updated role not have any effect in this on the QAS.
