Plant switch based on capacity

Hi

Is the following scenario doable using Rules Based ATP and Capable to Promise?

Finished Material M can be manufactured at Plants P1 and P2.

In the location determination procedure the first plant is P1 and the second plant is P2.

P1 is out of capacity in the current week and P2 has plenty of capacity.

A sales order is entered for M for request date of today and it checks the capacity at P1 and finds out that it can only confirm in this plant in the 2nd week. Then it goes to P2 and sees the available capacity and can confirm on today itself. Thus ATP check should ignore P1 and confirm from P2.

Is there a way to do the above? I looked at the Calculation profile with the allowed delay and consumption limit fields. But these options are not working.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Regards

Sanjeev

have you tried the IMG for ATP check control, use "End check without confirming in the checking horizon"

this in combination with your location determination procedure should help you in this scenario

am copying this from the F1

"Receipt elements and requirements elements after the end of the checking horizon are ignored. Requirements that cannot be confirmed within the checking horizon remain unconfirmed. This has the effect that extended confirmation methods are activated, and requirements far in the future have no influence on the short-term availability situation.

Make sure a checking horizon and a calendar for the checking horizon are specified in the product master. The checking horizon is generally copied from the SAP ERP master data."

(If you want to include the checking horizon in the product availability check, you need to have set the corresponding indicator in Customizing for the product availability check.)
