Automatic MRP Run while saving SO

Dear All,

our customer requirement is when ever they make a sales order there should be an automatic MRP Run for all the materials available in Sales order.

How to map this scenario.

Useful answer will be definately awarded.

You define 82 for strategy.

Once you create sales order it also creates prod order.

You can release as and when reqd.

Hi Hareesh,

This requirement can be met if you discuss & work along with the PP consultant.

First we have to define the planning strategy as 82 (Assembly processing with production orders) in the MRP 3 view of the material master.

The speciality of this strategy is that when you enter a SO for the material , automatically avialbility check will be carried out for all the dependent items and corresponding production/purchase orders will be created automatically.

Based on the dependent items availability system will propose the promise date as well.

Auto MRP is never possible after SO is saved. SO is created in demand mgmt. Along with PIR MRP will run and creates pl order.

You can create background job for MRP run for 2hrs or 4hrs. This will ensures mrp is run periodically and sevves purpose

I had gone thru the link. it says auto PR is generated when you run MRP. NOT Auto MRP Run.

Hi

Firstly you plan what kind of planning you again do, whether : Make to stock or Make to order,

If it is make to stock: then we have keep then a re-order point planning at MRP setting at material master and maintain mrp type as VV (Re-order planning). when ever the stock comes to re-order point stock, automatically MRP run takes place.

If it is Make to order: then maintain the item category group as 0001 (Make to order planning) and after create Sales Order, we have do the MRP Run at MD02, and MD50.
