I have to assess the Planner readiness to handover the system for use. CTM is being used for Long term, Mid term and Short term planning. Can I ask for some guidance on the following?
Does anyone have any questions/suggestions for questions which will help assess the planner readiness for SNP use. The areas being tested are -
1. Some basic plannign concepts.
2.Understand Demand Elements.
2. Master Data Knowledge.
3. Exception Handling.
4. Capacity Utilization.
5. Handling Alerts.
6. Address demand supply gaps.
7. (Pls free to suggest)
I must stress that this is not like a certification program or that this would not invoke any consultant-type knowledge from the user.
I am just looking to draw upon the questions from the experience some of the people have had in this area.
I have been brainstorming. Could I ask for some brainstorming help.
My Approach has been. I am pasting a sample. Apart from the questions I am also trying to create scenarios which will encompass a lot of concepts. I am skipping the scenario section for the need of keeping this brief.
For eg: In the Master Data Knowledge section.
1) What are SNP-relevant tabs in the Product Master?
2) How do Product Profiles work?
3) Define the use of the SNP Prod. Horizon.
4) Define the use of Backward Consumption.
5) Define the use of Forward Consumption.
6) In what system does Unit of Measure originate?
7) Define Fixed Lot Sizing; define Lot-for-Lot.
I hope you guys can shed some light on this. I would really appreciate it.
