idoc partner profile

hi all,

i am configurating file to idoc scenario. when i am creating the partner profile

in abap engine. it is saying that " make a permissible entry " for logical system (sxiclnt100 which is logical system for client 100 of XI server ).

why do we use partner profile

You need to define system in transaction SALE.

Partner profile in your receiving system tells your system what to do with the IDoc when it gets there, the process code.

Hi,

While creating Partner of type LS, first you need to declare / create Logical System. You can creat Logical System either uisng transaction code "SALE" Goto Basic Setting ->Logical System ->Define logical system.

Partner profile is nothing but sender / receiver details.
