Hi folks,

I'm trying to realize the following scenario:

A web application invokes a AJAX call to submit data to

my viewing container running in ABAP environment. Data are stored in post part of request. For the moment I've no idea to realize this and it works....

It's possible ?? and how?

Thanks for your tips.

Hi Axel,

I found out today that it is possible to use SAPEVENT in HTML documents that are not stored on a BDS or in an R/3 database, even though help.sap.com and SAP Notes both say that it is not possible.

I was even able to use both JavaScript and a Java applet to create events using SAPEVENT that I can handle in ABAP code. Again, both help.sap.com and SAP Notes say that SAPEVENT won't work with scripting, but at least for me it does. I've been doing my experiments on NetWeaver AS ABAP 7.0 with Sap Logon 640.

I figured it for my own. According to SAP note 191908 my scenario is not possible. Sapevent can only be used in HTML documents coming from BDS or R/3 Database, extern system is not possible.
