BUSINESS BLUE PRINT

In this phase we create the business blue print which is the detailed documentation of the result gathered during requirement work shops. Further more the business blue print serves to document the business Process Requirement of the company. On this basis we will achieve a common understanding of how a company intends to run their business with in the SAP system

1.organizational structures

2. Data collection sheets are given to the client people

3. Data conversion strategy---gap-interface

4. Business blue print documentation----

as-is to-be

5.customization (any technical development)

6.estimation of number of developers

7.communication strategy &plan

8.develop the system environment

9.user roles& customization

reward if it helps

Hi,

Its actually a collective responsibility to prepare the blue print after having clearly understood the business process of the client and take green signal on the AS IS process.

After this as per the client requriements the required configurations are formulated representing the clients business process finalised as per the AS IS. At the same the gaps are identified and the required developements are also identified and preparation of functional specs start.

From the SD point of the requirements are put on paper in configs, and cross module dependencies are discussed. Like if SD integrates with FI, there would be discussion on the required G/L accounts, customer master data population, acckeys etc. If in case MM, we discuss with them on scenarios like third party, STO's, availability check.

Finally we arrive at the end configurations, developments required and call it the TO BE process which is deliverable of blue print. This goes on to the next phase called realization. However there could be many activities I tried to highlight few.

Thanks

hi

In this phase you document and define the scope of your R/3 implementation and create the Business Blueprint. The Business Blueprint is a detailed documentation of your company's requirements in word format. Application consultants and the Business Process Teams achieve a common understanding of how the enterprise intends to run its business within the R/3 System, by carrying out requirements-gathering workshops.

During Phase 2, the project team completes R/3 Level 2 training; this is recommended as early as possible and before the workshops start.

The project team selects the processes that best fit your business from R/3's functional offering, using the following tools:

• AcceleratedSAP Implementation Assistant

• Question and Answer Database (Q&Adb)

• Business Process Master List (BPML)

• R/3 Structure Modeler

• Business Navigator and external modeling tools
