If this is the case then why really BPM required in real time.

Am i right?
Is there any specific scenario(blogs) which is used IDOC's with BPM.

The BPM comes in to picture when u have to implement the bussiness logic such as u have multiple sender or receiver systems.In such a case u have to use BPM.Some of the features of BPM are...
1. Correlation
2. Collect Pattern(Collect the messages and send)

mutlimapping not possible for idoc. in this case u go 4 bpm. this is one of the example of why bpm
