hello

we've installed VC 6.0 patch 3 on W2k3 server. Enterprise portal server NW04 SPS 9.

We're able to connect to the portal within the vc webapplication and even our defined bw systems are showing up in the "connect to system" iview (under data -> select data services).

but when we want to search a selected system, we got the error message "Error -32006: Search for BW query returned an error. Service not found: com.sap.portal.guimachine.BIKit.CommandHandler

Any hints on this one?

Thanx and regards

Silvio

It seems you have not deployed the BIMMR and BIUDI sca files deployed (please refer to the bisual composer intallation manual). these files allow the BI functionality

The answer from SAP (if someone is looking for older files..):

The MMR and UDI Support packages and patches are all available on the SMP. Please use followin path:

http://service.sap.com/patches -> Entry by Application Group -> SAP

NetWeaver -> SAP NETWEAVER -> SAP NETWEAVER 04 -> Entry by component ->

BI UDI -> BI UDI 3.50 -> OS independent

Choose the following two files BIMMR09P_1-20000143.SCA and BIUDI09P_1-20000143.SCA. Those are the newest patches for your version.

the bikit.commandhandler is contained in a com.sap.portal.guimachine.BIKit.par file. This in turn may be contained in an SDA com.sap.visualcomposer.BIKit.sda - which may again be in an SCA. Check that this component is installed on your portal.
