we are thinking to adjust out customizing system out of the produktoin system. We found a lot of transactions, copy profiles, notes and descriptions. Which is the best way to do it and what thinks we have to look for.
DB refresh (homo copy) will refresh everything, but also remove the version info, which is on DEV only. Meanwhile you can choose to build a new DEV and keep the old DEV as reference.
Remote client copy can fix customizing, but not repository (table structure and ABAP code).
Meanwhile customizing seldom differs much between DEV and PRD, and remote client copy should be able to fix it if that is the case. If a lot of never-transported SNotes and/or Y/Z objects are the concerns, get familiar with those options and discuss with your development team, or hire someone to do it.
