SAP Net Connector

Hi

We tried to install first Sap .NET Connector 2.0. and got error message as "You must first insall the Visual Studio Net 7.1 integrated development environment (IDE"). After went through the forum and as per the expertise advise we deinstalled. Visual Studio 2005.

We installed Visual Studio 2003 and tried to install SAP. NET Connector 2.0 but we got error message as You must first insall the Visual Studio Net 7.0 integrated development environment (IDE"). Could anybody help ?

Both VS 2005 & 2003 we installed professional version. Eventhough we are getting the same error

You only need the JRE for your dev system, not for production, correct?

Hi Balakumar,

This SAP.Net Connector supports to only Windows 2000 and Windows XP operating system.

Don't try to install it on Windows 2003 Server.

dont forget to install a java machine JRE ...

Thanks Juergen for immediate response. We have formatted and reinstall the VS 2003 Professional Version and install SAP Net Connector with log file. But we could not able to trace through log file what went wrong.

Hi,

you are using the right version of Visual Studio 2003. Have you had NCo v1 installed on the machine before? That can sometimes cause problems. Another way of getting some more information of what's goes wrong during the installation is starting the setup with the following command: "msiexec /l*v install.log /i SAP.Net.Setup_2.0.msi". Please try this and check the generated log file.
