I am writing my diploma thesis about SAP Exchange Infrastructure and I want to know how much a customer has to pay normally for such a system. I heart he must pay a general licence price and additionally for transferring data with third party systems. But I need real numbers!
Has someone an good website with this information??
thx

Hi Thomas,
AFAIK, there is no official price list. It all depends on the client's negotiation capabilities. The typical licensing plan for XI/PI is volume-based, 10.000 for a small to medium installation sounds like it's not far off, but I have no good basis for my estimation. There are also contracts that cover all NetWeaver licenses, but only very large companies have those.
Third-party adapters cost extra.
Please note that the price list you mention seems to contain only certification services, not licenses.
I'd suppose contacting SAP directly:
https://www.sap.com/germany/contactsap/index.epx
or 0800 / 5 34 34 24
Kind regards,
Dennis
Hi Thomas,
XI/PI licensing is volume based and it is based upon the volume of traffic in Gb. It is purchased in Gb chunks. So a customer could purchase a licence for 50 Gb/month and their monthly traffic would have to be below this otherwise they would then have to progress to the next step available (I think this is 100 Gb/month).
The price a customer gets charged for their monthly usage depends on the discount they get with SAP.
Also, it should be noted that traffic between 2 SAP instances does not count in the volume calculation.
Kind regards
Colin.
thanks, but I already read this threads. I only need a clue.
Is this price list currently ok? Does SAP XI cost about 10000 euro. (+ additonal adapter and + traffic between SAP and non-SAP systems)

Hi,
You should get in touch with the local SAP sales office. They will probably be able to help you best with this.
Cheers
Manish
