Integration of SAP & Orcle Apps Using XI

hi,

We are currently have setups for both SAP and Oracle Apps in our company. Now the requirement has arised to integrate both of systems. For experimental purposes wanted to try this out using XI. First of all can this be done? Secondly what would be the best approach to do this - choice of adapters, business systems, ....etc. Your suggestion would really help.
