Is it possible?
I currently have MiniSAP Web AS 6.20 installed and up.
I want to begin getting involved in Java development (testing out WD Java, Portal, NW Developer Studio, and such) but do not want to loose the chance to make ABAP own developments and tests, as i'll keep working as ABAPer.
I have this Sneak preview editions (they're a little bit dated with respect to current downloads):
1)- Slim Java Edition-Trial (minimized memory consumption) - SAP NetWeaver 04 SP11
2)- SAP NetWeaver 2004s Java Trial Version - SAP NetWeaver 04s SP9
3)- Full ABAP Edition-Trial (with Web Dynpro for ABAP!) -SAP NetWeaver 04s
My immediate plans were to install the Slim Java ed. (1) keeping my current WebAS installed as I have limited disk space.
In the future I intend to replace my HDD or PC to get more space and power, and install both 2) and 3) (or the newer corresponding versions available at that time).
Problem is, i'm reading installing instructions for all this editions, and for example, Java editions state there shouldn't be any port 3601, 3201 and 50000 to 50030 entries in the %WINDIR%\system32\drivers\etc\services. I already have entries in 3201 port, made by MiniSAP 6.20...
Please give me some advice. Did you succeed installing both trials?
Many thanks.
