How to discard a section in File Content Conversion while reading pipe file

Hi ALL,

I have a scenario where I am reading a file using File Content Conversion, the format of the file is like:

1234

5678

abcd

efgh

Now while reading I want to read only 1, 2 and 4 section.

1234

5678

efgh

How do i go about doing this?

Hi,

I dont think it is possible. But I would suggest you to read the whole file into XI, but you dont do mapping for this field.

Hey

i m not sure about FCC,but what you can do is create the receiver message type with only 3 fields and in message mapping dont map field 3 of the source at all.just map field 1,2 and 4.

this will make sure that you have only 1,2 and 4 on receiver side and i guess thats what you eventually wanna achieve,right?
