NWDI and MI applications

Hi

Is there a possibility to create a separate track in NWDI and maintain MI applications? For instance I am into implementing MTR and doing some enhancements on it. Is there a way to keep track of this MTR in NWDI.

Please advice

Thanks

Raj

Hello,

DTR is a source control tool like any other. So yes you could create an MDK MI project and add it to this source control.

I never tested it myself, but I don't see any restrictions from what I know.

Thank you,

Julien.

hi raja,

it's been awhile that i haven't got in touch with the latest MI client. im not sure what

it the latest UI offered in the frontend client. if you are referring to JSP/AWT versions,

from what i have known, ( <SP16), MI application development is not integrated into

NWDI like definition of BOR etc... the metadata are still being generated on the

middleware, and not defined in the BOR. but for sure you can make use of some

functionalities of NWDI depending on the requirements of your application.

generally for WD apps, you can create from scratch in NWDS from data definition

to UI and logic. for the case of MI however, metadata is defined in the middleware;

the process differs...

hope this answer your question.

It is JSP version. As you said, I guess we cannot use the entire functionality of NWDI, atleast we can use it as a code repository.

Thanks for your suggestion. Will get back to you guys if anything
